PTFE thread sealing tapes made of pure, unsintered PTFE (not DVGW tested)
The thread sealing tape made of pure unsintered PTFE is wound onto the thread on the right-hand side for right-hand threads and on the left-hand side for left-hand threads from the end of the thread towards the start of the thread with an overlap of around 50%. At the end, the tape is torn off and pressed on. During subsequent screwing, the thread tape is pressed into the individual threads. The PTFE thread sealing tapes are intended for single use only. Any excess thread tape must not protrude into the pipes.
