Rubber seals

In our high-tech world, there is almost no machine, system or pipe that does not have rubber seals, O-rings, X-rings, V-rings or elastomer parts to reliably seal the media transitions. Users usually only realize how valuable these parts are when they fail or do not last as long as planned.

This makes it all the more important to utilize the knowledge of application specialists as early as the planning, design and development stages. The aim is to find the best solution for the expected influences, application parameters and other requirements from the large selection of materials, geometries and designs.

Every industry places special demands on sealing technology. Food technology, for example milk or beer production, is no exception. Here, requirements for rubber seals are defined in particular by high hygiene standards, but also by the cleaning of the systems.

For example, the dairy pipe fitting in accordance with DIN 11851 is used throughout the food industry as well as in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. NBR, EPDM, silicone, FPM (FKM) and PTFE are mainly used for the seal.
