CIMAFLON ePTFE sealing sheets
CIMAFLON gasket sheets are made of 100% pure virginal expanded PTFE (ePTFE). The special stretching process used in production creates a multidirectional fiber structure that gives the material special properties. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) gaskets made from CIMAFLON gasket sheets exhibit only a minimal increase in width, extremely low creep and excellent adaptability to unevenness and damage to the sealing surfaces, even at high temperatures and surface pressures.
Possible applications
Gaskets made from CIMAFLON ePTFE gasket sheets can be used in almost all applications within the permissible temperature range thanks to their universal chemical resistance, high compressive strength and adaptability to the unevenness of the flanges.
They are used for sealing connections in the force main connection. The PTFE material is particularly suitable for applications with limited bolt force, large unevenness of the sealing surfaces and stress-sensitive components made of materials such as enamel, graphite, glass, GRP, aluminum, etc. In addition to sealing rings, CIMAFLON gasket sheets can also be used to punch complex and precise gasket shapes. Typical applications include gaskets for heat exchangers, agitator flanges, pipeline flanges and pressure vessels.
Chemical resistance
ph 0-14 resistant to all media except dissolved or molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine at higher temperatures and pressures.
Temperature resistance
-240 to +270°C, briefly up to 315°C
Operating conditions
Pressure - vacuum up to 40 bar
Temperature - -240 to +230°C

CIMAFLON panels are available as standard in the dimensions 1100 x 1000 mm.
