Plastics PA, POM, PE, sheets, rods, tubes and films

PA (nylon)

Standard plastics such as PA are used for the production of mechanical parts with low to medium stresses that were previously cast from metal. The semi-finished product is produced by extrusion, injection or casting.

The properties of polyamide can be improved by adding glass or carbon fiber. Such a mixture achieves higher density and stiffness and can therefore be used as a substitute for metal parts in the automotive industry, among others.

POM (Delrin)

POM is a structural thermoplastic for precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability.

POM is distinguished by its high strength, hardness and rigidity up to approx. 40°C with a melting temperature of 175°C

The advantages of POM are

  • High wear resistance
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • High heat resistance
  • Good electrical and dielectric properties
  • Low water absorption

Foils, sheets, tubes and rods are available at short notice. Cut-to-size sheets and sections can also be offered at short notice.
